As far as fall decorating goes, you can get some inspiration by simply looking outside. Autumn is about earthy tones and natural colors so take a cue from the outdoors and try using natural decorations to liven up your home. Some good fall decorating tips include:

Making your own centerpieces from pumpkins, gourds, and corn
Decorate using oranges, browns, and bronzes for your linens
Slip covers can drastically change the appearance of your living room, try placing fall colored covers on your sofa and loveseat
Accent your fireplace and kitchen table with fresh fall scented candles

By adding some simple fall decorations to your home, you can get into the holiday season and make your home look more inviting without spending a lot of money.

Instead, try to get out and experience everything this time of year has to offer. The simple act of getting out to view the fall foliage or taking a walk in the crisp October air can give you a better perspective on things.

The other great thing you can do this time of year is take advantage of the fresh produce. Not only are there some great squashes available this time of year, but October is even national apple month. Try celebrating the fall with a fresh baked apple pie or even some caramel apples.
